BLAST from the PAST!
Digging through some old newspaper articles I came across this one, which will give you an idea exactly how long
Chatham skateboarders wanted to get a skatepark. It's amazing after almost 20 years to see that the stance on
BMX bikes trying to use skateboard parks hasn't changed.

GARBAGE NOTICE:
All skaters are encouraged to help cleanup any garbage. There are 3 garbage cans at the park
and they should be used by everyone. Even if it's not your garbage, help everyone out by
picking it up and throwing it in the nearest can. It will only take a minute out of your skate
and will make the park look nicer for everyone.

OPENING DAY!

The skatepark was completed November 2nd, and opened to the public November 4th. Throughout the day Saturday an estimated 200 or more
people visited the park. The overall feeling with everyone is that the park is flawless. It offers a bit of something for everyone, and is big enough
that even on the crowded opening day, everyone got their skate on... HIGHFIVE! Skateshop will be filming park videos that will appear here
on the site in coming weeks. If you have any pictures you want posted on this page or links to Youtube videos featuring the park,
email us at chathamskatepark@gmail.com and we'll post them up for you.
